SharkBite Max push-to-connect tee with water hammer arrestor is the fastest and easiest way to help eliminate water pipe banging in your home. The newly designed fitting allows you to make pipe connections with half the insertion effort while withstanding double the burst pressure. Featuring a newly designed stainless-steel retainer, SharkBite Max delivers additional strength and durability while providing a 250-psi pressure rating. The re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less effort and doesn’t require a PEX tube liner. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required for installation. They are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and HDPE pipe. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused. (SharkBite push-to-connect fittings are the fastest when compared to other conventual plumbing methods. All other comparisons relate to first generation SharkBite push-to-connect products.)

I don't understand why this is so expensive...

You can buy these two parts separately for nearly half the price... just a normal water hammer for copper and a shark bite t, you'd think it cost less not twice as much...

Cannot recommend highly enough. Not only are they really easy to install (and YES! ... no glue was needed) but they also stopped 99% the water pressure hammering! My first load after installation was so quiet I went downstairs to make sure the washer hadn't stopped mid-cycle. It was THAT quiet. Wish we had installed these sooner.

I was getting a water hammer sound when washing machine was shutting on/off. I put this Arrestor on the cold water line in my basement which is the lowest drain of the water line. After two weeks there is no hammering. I drained all the water out of the hot/cold lines before installing. In picture I have a shutoff valve before the Arrestor. I couldn't get that valve off. That's one problem with the Sharkbite...they're difficult to remove in tight places. So I just added the Arrestor after t...

Made for an easy bidet installation!

Would Recommend

My wife and I were given a warm and cool water bidet attachment for our toilet. The instructions that came with the attachment stated to take the cold water from the toilet supply and the hot water from the nearby sink. One problem, in my home, the toilet and sink were in different rooms. The Shark Bite 1/2x1/2x3/8 quarter turn supply allowed me to tap into the nearest hot water pipe beneath the bathroom floor and run the tubing up along the toilet supply. Problem solved!

The valve only shuts off at the reducing end

Would Not Recommend

SharkBite's are expensive, never had an issue until now. 1 Star because this valve is a big waste of money, unless you only want to shut off water at the reducing end. I needed to replace the main valve and thought I could eliminate an added valve, nope wrong. It would of been cheaper, half the cost, if I got a regular tee and a new shut off valve. Bad design SharkBite.
