I like to use copper for the final run and use 1/2" connectors for the sink valves (I think it's a bit more sturdy than pex incase valves or hoses need to be changed). These worked well for the applications.

This is not for copper pipes, only threaded pipes
Wrong product, my fault. Didn't realize I needed a solder-on fitting for copper pipe. Will return, but nothing wrong with the product as far as I know - didn't remove it from packaging.
