Awesome product, I swear by it.

I started using this product 3 years ago. I love the results. I have used a few other products and was always disappointed. Works OK requires more applications than suggested

I bought this product in 2023 when I had a house built and had a lot of problems with dollar weed. The one thing I found with this product is well. The directions on the back say apply it once wait 8 weeks and then reapply if needed. I found that I was applying this every 4 to 6 weeks to keep my dollar weed in control along with a few other weeds in the yard. I will say that the grass was very green. We live is SW Florida and started using the Scotts program this year, previously we had a lawn service. Our lawn is better than ever with the Scotts program. We highly recommend this program, it is easy and cost effective

Bonus S not working on my lawn

I bought Bonus S for southern lawns in Florida. I put it down about 3 weeks ago and my lawn on the side yard didn’t green up and I have a lot of dollar weed and other weeds growing now in my yard after putting this fertilizer down.

Products received

I received a free spreader with. I think it was three or four different products, I have not checked to see if there’s a sheet inside to tell me when to apply all these different products though.

Product killed the grass.

Bought this product on April 24 and applied to lawn following directions. Clover was eliminated in some areas but where it wasn’t it is thriving. The product was applied with a Scott’s rotary spreader. There are lines of dead grass across the lawn. I have photos of the damage but this site does not work well on an iPad.

Save Your Money It Doesn't Work

Rarely has a product failed so dismally to perform its most basic function. The weeds are thriving and choking out the grass. My landscaper warned me against Scott's but I figured an old line company can't be making useless products. Boy was I wrong. I have graphic pictures but this site wouldn't let me post them for you to see.

Bonus S seems to be working

Seems to be improving the appearance of the lawn already, 2 weeks in. But I have a long way to go. Lots of crab grass and nutsedge to deal with. Wondering if I can apply a Nutsedge killer to the lawn and when. Lots of bare spots and the crab grass loves that. I live along the gulf coast so lots of very sandy soil and that means it drains fast and stays dry which makes things difficult. Having the lawn aerated in a couple days and hoping that helps. Formula Needs Updating

Lifelong Floridian here. Bonus S used to be quite effective for weed control on St Augustine lawns, however as a result of the drier, warmer climate we've experienced over the last 5 - 10 years, the weed varieties are increasing and becoming more prolific. Bonus S simply can't handle them the way it used to. I know all the rules; apply between mowing's, using recommended spreader settings, thoroughly water it in, spot treat stubborn patches, reapply in 8 weeks if needed, etc. And still, the weed...

Scott's Bonus S KILLED my St Augustine

Scott's 2023 Bonus S KILLED my once beautiful St Augustine grass! They offered me $300 to cover the cost of one pallet of grass, but I lost my entire lawn! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. I followed their instructions carefully, even consulting with them via phone prior to application.
