It is ideal for creating floor transitions between tile and another surface of the same height such as carpet or wood. Schiene has an integrated joint spacer which ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile.

As another reviewer noted this is simply aluminum with a brass colored finish. completely misleading... I wasted time and money ordering this.

Ordered the solid brass one for durability. Found it scratching during the dry tile layout - the scratches looked silver. Took some sand paper to it and it's definitely silver colored whatever with a yellowy brass coating.

The item appears to be a dyed aluminium, very easily bent and a tacky orange yellow gold color. Nothing like a true brass finish. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money!
