What Customers Are Saying
The product received mixed reviews. Many customers found the trimmer head easy to install and load with line, with clear instructions and helpful alignment marks. The bump feed mechanism was also praised as convenient, and the head was described as durable and well-made. However, some customers reported issues with the line jamming or breaking, the head not fitting their trimmer model, and the instructions being confusing. The longevity of the head was also a concern, with some reporting it only lasting a few months.

I used this trimmer head for 2 weeks, roughly 3 times a week, and only reloaded string 2 times and it already broke. I attempted to reload the string a 3rd time, and the plastic is so thin on the bottom of the head, that when I tried to twist the head to reload, the bottom completely broke out. $35 wasted, will never buy this head, or this brand again.
Heavy duty trimmer head
This "Speed" brand commercial trimmer head is rock solid! I was a little worried it would not fit my standard curved shaft trimmer body, but, even though the packaging does not mention it, it appears to have a universal set of attachment HW that will allow it to work on just about any trimmer out there. The packaging indicates it will work for 0.095" and 0.105" line, but the instructions inside seem to indicate that it will also work with 0.080" line. I did not have any of the smaller diamet...
Durable not most user friendly
I trim over 3 acres each mowing around a lot of obstacles, so I go through a spool of string nearly each outing. I selected this to have a spare head allowing a quick change out when my trimmer runs out of string. The good is that it comes with a ton of adapters to fit multiple brands and types of trimmers, including both right and left handed threads. The head also allows you to use both .95 and 1.05 diameter string. This spool did not come with the string already wound which was a disappointme...
Works Okay but string easilybreaks off on one side
The trimmer head is durable, well packaged, and well made from ABS plastic. Instructions for fitting onto my trimmer required some intense initial study but after seeing how it worked, became somewhat intuitive. It fit my Stihl FS 91R without problems once I figured out which locknut to use. Instructions for inserting the string were confusing and required me to scan the QR code that took me to the YouTube video on how to do it. I must say it is much easier to insert new string on this desig...
Solid and easy to use replacement trimmer head
Let me just say upfront, by all appearances this is a solidly built product that should last for years. I previously had a different bump feed trimmer head, but it broke way too soon and the line was always getting tangled up. (So much for it being more convenient to use.) But this one has a very different line loading system that has not tangled up the line and, as I said, in my use of it so far, it is built tough. I was a bit concerned that this head would not fit my 15-year-old Echo trimmer,...
Didn't hold up at all
I bought this to replace my worn out one for my Craftsman string trimmer and it lasted a month for me. It is labeled "commercial" but I don't feel it is. They put commercial on the package to make people think it is heavy duty but it isn't! The plastic wore out at the bottom and now it doesn't allow me to feed new string. I have my own business so I depend on good quality equipment and this let me down. I will say it worked great in the beginning!

Easy to reload string for string trimmer
This universal fit string trimmer head is very sold. It comes with some serious string as well as various attachment pieces to accommodate different string trimmers. I reviewed the instructions regarding how to replace my current string trimmer head with this one, but I was unsuccessful. I found the instructions confusing and there was no reference to the specific brand of my model. Even though I could not get the head to mount to my trimmer, I did load the head with string since this always ...
“Simplicity”
This aftermarket bump feed trimmer head was simple to install on my trimmer. The hardware you might need is included with the new trimmer head depending on the type trimmer you have. After removing the old head it was easy to attach the new trimmer head. What’s great about this new bump head is that you don’t have to take it apart to load new line, just set the dial to the right position and insert the trimmer line as described in the instructions and then crank the dial until the desired line l...
Rugged Trimmer Head-Better Than OEM
This trimmer head is well made of a very hard plastic that will stand up to heavy use. The head comes with multiple nuts for either a curved or straight shaft with long or short threaded screws for mounting. Figuring out the correct combinations was probably the "hardest" part of this assembly! Everything you need, except the wrenches, are supplied. You even get a first length of trimmer line to load the spool and I am impressed by how thick it is. The head has very clear markings for where...
Brilliant!
There was some brilliant engineering involved in the design of this trimmer head. Finally, it's possible to load the head with line without having to take it apart. All I had to do was line up the bump head with the frame, insert the line (and the manufacturer even included enough line to get a good start), and then turn the bump head a few rotations to reel the line into the head. This eliminates what for me has been an excessively time-consuming task, so I am a happy customer. In my case, ...
