Raindrip 1/2-in Polyethylene Threaded Drip Irrigation Female Adapter

Pops right off

These things are useless. As soon as the system is pressurized, one of them will pop off. The entire thing is flexible, so the threads flex, and instant water fountain. Junk! Deserves 0 stars, but wasn't an option.

Deceptive Description

First off these drip converters ARE NOT made of polyethylene, they are made of rubber.. This is where the description is deceptive. Secondly, like other reviewers have indicated, because it is made of rubber the entire fitting will blow off the PVC riser when put under pressure. This not only will cause the entire sprinkler zone to become nonfunctional, it will also cause an inordinate amount of water damage if this occurs near your house or window. Because the plastic T simple presses into the ...

Wow this is bad

Do NOT use these if the water pressure is strong enough to operate a pop-up sprinkler. That amount of water pressure WILL blow these things off the threaded riser. Maybe not the first day, but soon, you'll notice water shooting out of the ground. These things are flexible, not strong at all. Why did they make these things? Why did I buy them? There are no good answers...

Leaks

Does not work as intended. Leaks at the top. Tried several, all leak

Not a good product

I had bad luck before with this same product. (leakage at top of cap). Not good quality. Returned for credit and bought different brand at Plant World. Slightly more expensive, but no leakage.

It leaks when connected to an irrigation system.

Lowes Stores are great, however you need to keep a good Products sold image.

Leaky Drip

I thought this would be a great way to go from the Raindrip hose timer to drip line, but I can't make it stop leaking. Once it popped off its pipe nipple; I found it laying on the ground! I will probably return it and try a different approach.

Good if used correctly

This item works fine for what it was designed for, which was converting an underground sprinkler system to a drip. Remember however that sprinkler systems are designed for high pressure/high volume and assembled with glue or threads while drip systems are designed for low pressure/low volume and assembled primarily with push on barbs. Drip systems are not designed for the higher pressure required by sprinklers and will come apart if used at higher pressure. A pressure reducer will limit pressure...
