Adjustment is limited. Lifting slightly thicker bricks is challenging bc at full down handle position tongs are perpendicular to tool and won’t open further. They have to be forced over line of bricks. Once done and lifted the tool grips and hold bricks fine. A slot rather than individual holes would be better for custom adjustments. Otherwise, tool has solid steel and welds. Will do for occasional use.
