Exotica is a prayer plant, the common name for plants that tend to fold their foliage up as night falls. Exotica's striking foliage is silver-green with olive green margins and veins that create a subtle stained glass window pattern on top, while the underside and stems show a deep maroon-red. This variety is happiest in warm, very high humidity spaces like bathrooms, kitchens, or sunporches - though you can create a humid environment for it in most spaces with humidifiers or pebble trays. It doesn't need much light however, and giving it too much sun exposure can result in losing some variegation, so filtered or indirect light away from windows is best.
