What Customers Are Saying
The shelves are reported to be sturdy and durable, with adjustable shelf heights allowing for versatile storage. However, many customers found the assembly process to be extremely difficult and time-consuming, with issues regarding the plastic connectors and alignment tools. Some reviewers also expressed concerns about the claimed weight capacity of the shelves. Overall, the product seems to have mixed reviews, with the challenging assembly process being a significant drawback.

Have low cortisol levels? Want to test your self control with a rubber mallet? Married and want a reason to get divorced? This is the shelf for you. If I had to guess, the quality control for the manufacturing of this product was done by a pack of feral cats. Maybe they've got a cardboard cutout of an actor they got by the dumpster of the movie theater or something, I don't know, just pick your favorite thing that isn't a person who is paid enough to care and imagine that's what's overseeing th...
Does the job..
It is sturdy if you make sure its hammered in all the way. I wouldnt recommend hammering super hard. There is nothing in the instructions that tell you how far apart the shelves should be so i went every 12 holes. Also connecting the halfs may be difficult but as you can see in the pictures, one hole from each connects them both. The actual wire does no attach to anything so it will move if you put something on top of it but stays in place once weight is on top. Other then that it does the job. ...

I must be warped to have bought the shelf unit.
Using this shelf in our garage just for normal paint cans and spackle cans, and things of that nature. First of all this shelf unit is a joke. They say it’ll hold 1000 pounds per shelf. I’d love them to prove that to me because I literally have 10 or 12 pounds on the shelf unit shelf and the wire fence grate that they use for the shelf material just sags like you wouldn’t believe. Over 3/4 of what I’m trying to put on the shelf falls through, which is totally ridiculous. so now I either have to ...

Assembly difficult and doesn't seem sturdy
I have probably assembled over a dozen garage storage units over the years so I'm not exactly a novice. This was by far the worst experience I've had. When I first moved into my house several years ago, I bought a couple of these shelving systems and they've been great. This version is a downgrade. First off, the instructions are vague and limited. It's very important that the side rails are facing the right way (flat side up for short rails, slot on top for long) but there's nothing i...
Rail design is seriously flawed
I am very familiar with the process of assembling these heavy duty utility shelves, having purchased 8 over the past dozen years or so. In each prior version of these shelves, though the shape of the lip that supports the shelf itself might change, the outside rail profiles have been straight/flat bars with the rivets protruding to fit in the slots of the upright supports. BUT NOW, the rails are a weirdly-shaped wave with the rivets attached on surfaces that are not necessarily aligned within ...

Not for everybody
First, the bad: - Why did they cheap out with the plastic "assembly tool", when for a few cents more they could have included the steel splice plates like they did on units 6-7 years ago? The "tools" make assembly dicey, and not everyone will be able to do it. That said, with care it can be done with an extra set of hands. - The fact that they require you to position a shelf dead center height-wise means you can't lay out the shelves exactly like you want. This may or may not be an issue for you...
Upright attachment difficult and lousy directions
I bought this because it had supported wire shelves and a 1000 lb capacity per shelf. All was good except the connection of the two sections when making a 72" tall unit. They have a plastic tool that is supposed to make it easier but was a complete disaster. Nothing would line up and the rivets broke off when trying to attach the two angled upright rails together. The fix was bolting the units together and throwing the plastic tools in the trash. Project Source should research attachment designs...

Complete Garbage
This unit was on sale for $89 the day I went to Lowes. I was initially going to get a Kobalt one but figured this would work. When I got it home and started to assemble it almost all the metal pieces where warped, this made it almost impossible to put it together. The rivets that get hammered down snap off easily and when you hammer one side down the other pops up. Gave up and took it back to Lowes. When returning the lady at customer service mentioned I was the third person to bring it back t...
Worst shelf I've ever had
I bought this to put a 36x18x12 tank on it and a few other things. Putting it together was genuinely one of the worst experiences ive had, the instructions are not correct for this model and I'm expected to connect the shelf with some folding plastic. I trusted the product and put the empty glass tank on it and the connector broke! That could have fallen off and broke the tank and seriously hurt someone! Absolute piece of crap. and now I have to take apart this miserable shelf so I can get my mo...
Nice looking shelf
I bought the edsal shelves a few years ago. I picked this up today thinking that this was the same product with a different name. I have 5 edsal shelves and love them. This product doesn't have the supporting brackets that I am used too on the top and bottom halves. I do rubber stamping and the bins are heavy. I didn't want to risk warping the joint of the shelving while moving bins in and out. I also found out that you cannot buy replacement parts as well. I did return the product to the store....
