Fas-n-Tite #6 x 2-1/4-in Black phosphate Interior Trim screws 154 -Per Box

Head prone to stripping & does not countersink

SQ1 head easily strips. These screws do not have a easy start/ self drilling feature and require a pilot hole even in soft wood. The heads do not self countersink, even in soft pine. I choose these over the GRK trim screws thinking the #6 thread is easier to drive than #8 of GRK. Big mistake.

I like the fact that they are cheaper, and they will do the job. I never had much of an issue with them until I made a dining room table a couple days ago. These screws dont’t go into the wood as easy as other trim screws. I had one break on me while it almost completly in the wood and a couple others hit a knot halfway through and strip. Great fastener with low visual impact

I used this fastener in conjunction with a wheelchair ramp I was building. I wanted ta fastener that was strong, easy to use, and small enough that it wouldn't split my boards. I pre-drilled the places where I used this fastener with a 3/32 drill bit. It was a small enough hole to squeak as I drove the fastener in, but a large enough hole that not one of my boards split.
