Good saw
The saw works pretty well. Buy a spline tool to adjust the carb if it acts up. See clips on YouTube how to do. The saw is cheap enough that if it breaks and you can’t fix it yourself, buy another. When using saw out of the box, use the premixed fuel sold at hardware or box stores. Then switch to your own mix. The folks missing the combi-tool, check under the handle. There is a tucked in spot where the tool is stored.

I have 2 poulan saws I've owned for many years. I needed to put a new carb on 1, and new fuel lines on both in the last couple of years. They both crank and run great. Got this 1 and just put it up for future. My other 2 still running!

Good Poulan pr4218
Gased it up, filled with bar oil, pushed prime bulb 8 times, pulled choke all the way out. Pulled rope 3 times. It started right up. cut some logs. All just like it should. I have a seven year old Poulan pr4218 and it is running very well. I have had many chainsaws over the past 50+ years some good some not not so good. Since my first Poulan about 22 years ago, I have kept going back to Poulan.
