Opened the box which was just a cardboard box with all the pieces inside. Started to read the directions, step 1 “remove cylinder key (sold separately)” Awesome, i can’t even get past step one to replace my broken handle.

The problem is the difficulty in ordering the correct part. There's no option to choose a left or right hand door handle.

Pella replacement handle
Part was an exact fit replacement. Handle had worn out and was losing coloration (lock toggle was not staying open, leading to being locked out). Tried contacting Pella directly, and was told door was too old, they could not help me. Door was installed 2009, IMHO should last longer than 14 years for what I paid. A little searching, and Lowe’s was able to get me the part. Thank you Lowe’s, shame on you Pella.

The handle is amazing, but it originally didn't come with the $3,000 sliding glass door when it was supposed to. In the end, Lowes fixed the problem and made it okay.

Pella patio door handles
Had to go 38 miles to nearest Lowes to pick up order. Order was damaged when I picked it up. They wouldn't ship the order. Reordered again and had to go back again to pick it up. Handles should have came with the door.
