A Decent Option to Help Protect Post Ends

These are decent looking post caps with easy installation. Metal caps would most likely look nicer but also come with larger price tag. I do wish the installation screws were button-heads that attached to a solid flat surface as the flat-heads in the semi recessed surfaces doesn't look as polished. Will have to see about durability with the plastic expansion/contraction - particularly aroung the attachment screw holes.

Doesn’t fit/defective

Bought for my 6 x 6 x 12 cedar posts (bought those from lowes as well and yes, we measured them to see if posts were defective in size) all are exactly 6 x 6. All 5 post caps were special ordered & all are 1/4” short. Have to return.

Not really 6x6

These are advertised as 6 x 6. The actual Deck Posts are about 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 and these would not even fit over the post. These are about 5-1/2 x 5-1/2. I made them work, but if you want them to go over the post, they will not.

Screws Included!

Installation was easy with the included screws. They add just the touch to finish off my deck!

Works for me

So far what I expected. Fits my 6x6 hammock posts with a little room to spare. I wanted to keep water from sitting on top especially during the winter.

Easy install

The product is light weight, plastic, easy install and includes 2 black screws to secure to the posts. If the tops of your posts aren’t perfect, this will cover those imperfections. Looks good with the black nuvo base covers as well. Not sure if they will fade with the Sun beating down on them or not, but probably could paint if they do.
