LED color, size and string length just right.
Size of LEDs is relatively small compared to the bulb versions, which is what we wanted, to highlight kick-nacks on our fireplace mantel and to frame a large mirror with a floral swag over our piano. Warm color is nice for living spaces. Length was just right for our applications.

Beautiful, bright purple LEDs
Pros: The lights are easy to set up, and the LEDs are very bright. The purple color is beautiful. I use them outdoors as ground lights for my Christmas display. Cons: The lights flicker with the 60 Hz AC power, which some people might find annoying. It would be nice if they were more weather-proof than they are. After using them for a couple of years, I find that one half of the strand goes dark, and it's is too much trouble to find the bad LED, so I just replace the strand. Over all: I...
