What Customers Are Saying

The Minwax Polyshades product has received mixed reviews. Many customers found it easy to apply and liked the convenience of the combined stain and polyurethane. They reported good color results and a durable finish. However, some customers struggled to get an even, consistent application and were disappointed with the final appearance, finding it too glossy or not dark enough. A few customers had major issues with the product, describing it as "gummy", "streaky", and "uneven", and had to completely redo their projects. The reviews suggest that while Polyshades can work well for simple home projects, it may not be the best choice for more complex or high-quality finishing needs.
