The G1812DFQ4 18V Cordless 4-1/2" Paddle Switch Angle Grinder is a part of the expanding MultiVolt System of 18-Volt and 36-Volt power tools from Metabo HPT. GO lighter with the 18V batteries or GO longer with the unique MultiVolt battery that works on both 18V and 36V tools to double your runtime for up to 8.0Ah of runtime per charge for more power on the GO.

Seems like a good product, it has an auto feature which helps control the speed when pressure is applied or removed. I bought this on a sale that buy the tool and get 2 batteries and charger, the only thing i would recommend is getting bigger than 2.0AH batteries if youre going to be using it regularly.

Grate feeling in the hands
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the auto mode. For my safety I like how I can start off at a good rpm for light work and can adjust when I put more pressure on the tool. This tool is reliable and safe. But can work hard on any job I put the tool to test.

Like butter
I upgraded from Metabo HPTs cheapest corded grinder to this one and it is a really impressive tool. In my line of work, I don’t need to use a grinder very often. But, having a cordless grinder when I do end up needing one is great. Usually I’m just cutting down anchor bolts after putting up my walls on site. And it cuts through them in seconds. The tool is also very low vibration and feels great in the hand. I love that there are three spots for the handle as well. Makes it easy to get between s...

Auto mode is a game changer
I bought it to replace my old corded grinder. The first thing I noticed is the paddle switch is the way to go in my opinion. The handle is small enough to really get a good grip on it. Auto mode is a cool feature and I like that this has a brake as well as kick back shutdown

Cutting the cord
