This machine is ridiculous, would not recommend at all. It rarely works correctly, cannot handle a queen size comforter even thought it has a bulky option AND is extra large. I wish I had not spent the money on this. In addition it's almost virtually impossible to get ahold of anyone at Maytag. AND it didn't work when installed which forced me to buy the extended warranty.

I like this washer but it cannot handle a couple of heavy items such as two throw blankets. The load will become un-even and the washer will attempt to even out the load, however, you will end up wringing one of the throws by hand and allow only one to spin at a time. Kinda irritating for such a large drum built in.

Maytag top load impeller
Run. How about this or a highly similar one a few years ago and as far as blasting it has. But I’ve been disappointed from the beginning and it’s washing ability. And an impeller washer gives you the impression of a large load and that’s ridiculous. you load this thing up and all you’re gonna get is a tangled mess. I dislike 3 things

Sometimes it turns on quickly, other times I have to reset it. 2) The Soap Dispenser is too flimsy. I can see that it will break easily if I don't take extreme caution in its use. OK, 3 things. It's noise than my last Maytag washer. The drum makes a clunking noise when it is shifting gears.

Garbage
We haven’t had this washer for a full year and it is not working again. Stuck in cancelling mode, just like the last time. My clothes are locked inside, sitting in water. It took a month and a half to get the repair people out to fix it the first time. A MONTH AND A HALF! It was covered by the warranty, still should be covered by the warranty but I’m going to get a new one because I have too much laundry to be going to the laundry mat after buying a nearly $1,000.00 machine less than an year ago...

Washer quit after 3 months.
Washer doesn't work. Quit in middle of cycle with "canceling cycle" code on display that will not clear. Tried unplugging to reset but still did not clear. Contacted Maytag for repair service and it took a week to get service technician out to my house. Service tech seemed to be confused about issue and installed a new lid lock switch. This did not remedy the failure. The technician told my wife and me that Maytag has been changing model numbers and having problems with these models. Great I tho...
