Ratings & Reviews for Maytag High Efficiency Impeller Extra Large ( 5.3-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Midnight Steel )

Great washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the washer about 2 or 3 weeks now. Plenty of cycles to choose from. Detergent and fabric softener dispense perfectly. The tub is super large and does not have a traditional impeller and the agitation is still great and the clothes come out super clean. Top loading but still very water efficient. Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great washer and dryer when it works. both washer and dryer are on their 2nd round of repairs have been out of a washer brand new after a month for 4 weeks, waiting on parts and the dryer been out a week waiting on a repair man.

Clean it without announcing it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I enjoy my new washing machine, but I wish I could turn off all the ting and ping sounds. I find them annoying and we should have the option to silence them.

Would not recommend at all; Lowes has much better options available.

Great washer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a new Maytag washer with Direct Drive Motor, that is very efficient and quiet. Love that it came with a 10-year warranty on the drive motor and wash basket!

New Washer Feedback

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a point of reference, I previously had a Maytag Bravo large capacity washing machine. It was over 10 years old and stopped working so I had t replace it. I chose this new model Maytag for its large capacity and no agitator design. Generally, I like this new washer, but I miss the Oxyclean dispenser that was on my last washer. I never use bleach but use Oxyclean regularly. Having to put it in the bottom of the washer drum means I have to 1) r...

Total lemon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not even a few months old and we have had 4 service calls and the issue is still not fixed

Washes great, I have a hard time powering it up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer washes great. I just have a really hard time starting it. I have read the directions, which doesn't have many details. I should be able to just touch the power button and it should power on. Most of the time it doesn't. I have to keep tapping it and finally comes on. It looks like I can start it from my phone, but I can't figure out how to set that up. Maybe I can power it up easier with my phone?

Consistently reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, we've been happy with the performance of this washing machine. We've used almost all the settings and they seem to do well with the loads. Noise level is about average, not overly so. We really wanted the Maytag washer that was completely smart free but could not find one in our area so we went with this one and are pleased overall. The sensing feature for water level seems to work well.
