It’s a beautiful, solid , heavy duty door ready for hinges and handle to be installed. Sadly, what we needed to order was an interior pre hung door, in the same style. So we’ll be returning this purchase and getting what we really need.

Sturdy Door, Stains Terribly

I recently purchased one of these, applied a pre-stain conditioner, then stained the door using a oil-based gel stain (which are less prone to blotching than traditional stains). The result is hideous. Unfortunately, there are no returns after the product has been finished/altered, so it's turning into some very expensive firewood. If you buy this door, I'd recommend giving it a few coats of shellac to completely seal the wood before applying a gel stain overtop. The door itself is sturdy. T...
