In my installation, the dryer outlet was within 2" of aligning with the duct through the wall. I did need to tip the dryer up in back once in position near the mating magnet, but with a slight tip, the magnets aligned and job done. No more kinked long hoses and the dryer fit close to the wall. Wish I'd invented this product.
