Planipatch is an ultra fast-drying, self-curing, polymer-modified, cement-based patching compound that rapidly develops high compressive strength. When Planipatch is mixed with Planipatch Plus, the Planipatch Plus system can be used as an embossing leveler or as a patch to fill voids over properly prepared vinyl sheet goods, vinyl composition tile (VCT) and cement terrazzo before the direct glue-down installation of floor coverings.

Use for smoothing, patching and filling cracks, holes, voids and depressions in concrete and approved wood underlayments before the installation of floor coverings
Ultra-fast setting: most floor coverings can be installed in as little as 1 hour after application
Mix with Planipatch Plus (#3177) to use as an embossing leveler or patch over properly-prepared vinyl sheet goods, vinyl composition tile (VCT), cement terrazzo and residual cutback adhesive surfaces

Goes on easy and smooths out easy

I bought this couple weeks ago to filling some holes and divots about a quarter inch size on my concrete slab before lay down some new flooring. It worked out pretty smooth and I was able to feather it down nicely. I then took 220 grit sandpaper to send it out even smoother so yeah you can use this to fill any spots that need to be flat and smooth. I recommend this.

I was charged $250 for 2 pcs of this product. And then only used one bag. Awful results. Wasn't placed appropriately and didn't fan out. Extremely unhappy

Great bang for your buck!

My husband and I just bought our first home. We ran into several unexpected issues. One of them being leveling the floor we had to rip up. This skimcoat was a no brainer. Compared to the other feather finish available, the mapei planipatch is a bargain! 25 lbs for $17?! Every bit saved matters! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that we wasted a quarter of the bag due to not using it in time (less than a few minutes) it does dry VERY fast but I’d still recommend!
