What Customers Are Saying

Customers praise the weatherstrip's effectiveness at blocking cold air and improving home insulation, with many reporting dramatic improvements in comfort and energy efficiency. The thick foam material cuts easily and handles well during installation. However, a significant portion express frustration with the adhesive, which frequently fails to hold or peels off prematurely, undermining long-term performance. Despite adhesive concerns, most customers find the core sealing function reliable once properly installed and consider it worthwhile for draft prevention.

Requires Additional Adhesive Option

Would Not Recommend

It's great for cushioning and blocking, but the adhesive does NOT work. Be prepared to buy an additional option for the product to be attached. I used carpet tape - very sticky.

Door trim

This was exactly what I needed. Our front and back door lacked about an inch coming down to the bottom and I slipped a little cut off piece to finish closing the gap, which was showing daylight.

Awful

Would Not Recommend

Has anyone at M-D considered utilizing a backing paper that can be removed cleanly without ripping? I'm sure customers wouldn't mind paying an extra 25 cents for something that isn't such a hassle. Astonishing failure of such a simple product.

Poor adhesive

Would Not Recommend

Unfortunately the adhesion area did not hold onto the door. So I bought a different brand that has worked just fine.
