Good basic dryer but beware of door not stopping

I purchased this a few weeks ago in a rush as my previous dryer stopped working. I did some research and it appeared to have good ratings. I wish, however that I was advised that 1) there is no light inside the dryer 2) that the door does not have a stopper on it and swings as far open as my space allows, which is a wall. So everytime I open the dryer door I have to be careful to slowly make sure it doesn't bang into the wall. I now have to purchase a wall stopper and I'm not happy about appl...

No light, features lacking for a higher end dryer

Chose this from the two LG higher end dryers. Didn’t need the steam feature so bought this one without steam to find there is no light inside the drum as the steam model. It is a dark hole to find select items to remove. It is too hot for more delicate or permanent press items. The medium and low heat are still hot. Has no air dry feature as steam model. Fewer settings to choose from and no custom setting feature as the steam model. The signal setting is a nice feature however it is complicated ...

Stay away!

This machine started out great but within a few months it began taking longer and longer to complete a dry cycle until it eventually took all day long amid me going back to the dryer and restarting the cycle. Now it takes two day of this nonsense. LG has already come out once and replace a parts. It worked great but then began happening again. Working with Lowe’s and their delivery contractor to determine what they would and would not do in relation to the installation (vent hose) was a tedious and frustrating experience. Bad warranty! Noisy machine, LG won't fix

I would NOT recommend this dryer for anyone who lives in an apartment or other place where the noise would bother anyone. The dryer dries quite well, though I have to manually set it for "maximum dry" every time (why can't it remember that for me??), but it makes an awful noise that echos through the floor to the adjacent downstairs apartment: the drum has a bad weld on its seam, and each time that passes over the rollers it makes a thumping noise. FE Code

Purchased the set in March 2024, it’s now throwing a FE code. Will have to call a repairman out to repair the washer. Dryer is starting to take a couple of cycles to dry. I would not recommend purchasing these products.

Best dryer ever

What an amazingly wonderful dryer! It's the perfect companion for my LG direct drive washing machine. It's so incredibly quiet we don't even know it's running. And talk about efficiency! It's also very easy to use. Buy it!

2 weeks between installation and breakdown

2 weeks after this dryer was installed by Lowe's, where it was purchased new, the dryer would power up but not run. The tenant living in the house where the dryer is used ran thru the troubleshooting guide on the LG website.
