Drill hole needs to be 2.56-in (65mm) deep and free of drilling dust
For drilling into concrete or brick, a 7mm or 8mm diameter drill should be used, and dowel must be flush with wall or ceiling
For wooden beams, a 1mm to 3mm diameter drill should be used, depending on the respective hardness of the wood; dowel is not needed when installing to wood
