the product is not as good as the older version I am replacing as the outside latch does not fit tight and takes extra care in opening the door from the outside. The deadbolt outside body is more like tin versus the older more solid deadbolt. our goal was to replace the handle sets in our house with the brushed nickle as we like that finish better than the chrome finish.

Short not universal
Salesperson assured me this was universal in length and would be good replacement for my broken older kwik set lockset..unfortunately installer without my approval drilled new holes in my 450 oak door to install this new replacement set It is not universal..it is approximate 14in..old set 15 in. Use caution in using as replacement.

Is the door lever able to be adjusted so the lever is upright correctly for both right and left handed doors? Or is the lever going to be upside down depending on right or left handed doors?
