It was supposed to be assembled and I paid for that. Then it got to me not assembled. They said take it or we can take it back. Black metal scratched off and one of the beams had screws inside you could not get to and it rattles all the time.

Free assembly lack of quality
The screws on this work bench were stripped when assembled through Lowes free assembly so I cannot adjust the height of this. The store I bought it from is unwilling to help. My only option is to return this item. Unacceptable.

Sturdy bench with damage
Wood top has multiple scratches and cracks in the wood. Bottom side of box had scratches and gouge marks and had transferred to the bench top. When I picked up item, I had no idea how everything was configured in the box, so I didn’t even think to investigate more. Damage to box did not look bad. Noticed the discrepancies after everything was put together. Too much of a pain to put back together to return. Lesson learned. Very sturdy bench though, if there is a silver lining to the situation.
