What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt electric snow shovel is lightweight and effective for clearing light, dry snow from small areas. However, it struggles with heavier, wetter snow and can become overloaded. The battery life is decent, though having multiple batteries is recommended for longer clearing jobs. Some users reported issues with the battery life and charging. The shovel is also quite heavy, which can be tiring for some. It lacks wheels or adjustable controls to better direct the snow.

It finally snowed about 2 inches so I got to try it out this morning. First off, it's heavy. It will work best with shorter users. I'm 6 feet tall and had hunch over to keep the handle downward so the snowblower wouldn't catch as bad on cracks in the cement. That and the weight were hard on my back. Another thing, the switch is difficult to use with heavy gloves on. The battery ran out of power within about 20 minutes. I had to finish the driveway and sidewalk with my snow shovel.

Love this thing!
I don't have a large space to clear and don't live where we regularly get a lot of snow - but this blower has made clearing my sidewalk and driveway so much easier when we do get snow. It is pretty powerful and lightweight enough for me to use. Really pleased with this!
shuts down
With fully charged battery unit makes it about 5 feet throwing snow and then shuts down. Have to wait 5 minutes before it will run again. tried three other batteries fresh off their chargers and they all do the same thing. Piece of garbage.
WORKS WONDERS
This snow blower is amazing. Simply push it and it throws the snow. Makes cleaning the sidewalks and decks very easy!

Way too heavy
Easier to use a shovel. I remove snow for a living, . Got this to do small stoops , steps, and back decks..... Forget it, hurts my back. I don't know y they had to make it so heavy..... I haven't weighed it, but it feels much more than they say ( 15lbs). Waste of $

Would be better if had wheels. The fact that you have to pick it up to move it once a row is shoveled is a downer. Other than that..works good. Battery doesn't stay charged longer than an 1hr on full charge.

the weakest kobalt
I have several electric kobalt items like the lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, etc. They all work great and happy with them. But this thing is horrible, it chews through fully charged batteries in minutes. After trying to use this over several different snow falls, it became easier to just revert back to a regular old shovel.
Hello xJPx - Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear that you have been enjoying your other Kobalt items! Its unfortunate to hear that you a...

Stops easily.
The top where the battery is quite bulky and the battery sometimes pops out during operation. It’s very heavy and difficult for an older person to use. The battery compartment should be built into the the lower blower part which would help keep it down and more maneuverable.

Works TOO Well
This power shovel works too well. By that, I mean it throws snow way too far. I was either throwing completely across my yard into the neighbor’s driveway, or clear across the street into the opposing driveway. This would be a 5-star device if it had some sort of adjustable hood and/or speed control.
Hello Larry - Thank you for your feedback and positive review. While, this model is not equipped with a chute, the depth and weight of the snow will ...
