Great starter set of tools for everyday household

The set had a key variety of hand tools, I liked that it had a hammer, full socket set, screwdriver set, a level, and everything you’d need to conduct minor home jobs. The set is versatile with room to grow. These tools will last a lifetime if taken care of. I purchased as a gift for my eldest son who is finally getting his own place.

Great Basic Tool Set

I am very pleased with this product. I just purchased a new SUV and wanted a basic tool kit to have in my vehicle. This set has everything I need and it came in a very nice soft case. The case even has room to add other tools if I need to or to bring additional tools from home if I need tools at another site.

Light duty value

I purchased this kit to keep in my camper trailer. When I opened the kit, I was nervous the quality would be lacking considering the price point. I was pleasantly surprised. Some pieces are not top quality high-end tools. The smaller screw drivers for example feel light. I would still have made the purchase though. I don't need these tools for every day use. Every tool you need

The tool kit comes with a nice, sturdy canvas bag that has lots of pockets to hold everything. Because there are so many substantial, metal tools, when they're all loaded in the bag, it's quite heavy. The bag's great for tool storage but I wouldn't want to lug it around. It takes hours to put the tools in the soft bag.

Very nice tools and an excellent bag but when I went to put the tools in the bag there is no instruction on how to do that. There are no real pictures of a bag full with all the tools. Here I sit, all of the tools ripped out of their wrapping, looking and touching the tools and saying "nice" to myself...but by the time I inserted the first three tools in the "slot" . I starting asking myself if I want to the next couple of hours determining where to stick each tool. Now I'm thinking how easy ...

Almost a little to expensive

Tools were chained to the wall. If you get good security that kicks the shat out of thieves, law abiding customers that pay won’t have to wait 25 minutes to unchain what we want to buy. I was traveling through and needed some basics for my trip and had no choice. Bag is very nice and so was the small socket sets. Throwing a few small nails in to make tool count higher was chintzy at best.

Very good Start

It gave me what I wanted. A pretty complete set of hand tools to be used by a new homeowner. It was the most complete set I found that was not a no name unknown brand. There are better tools out there but this was the start I needed.

Great tools with mediocre storage solution

I purchased this specific set because it has nearly everything needed to tackle occasional homeowner jobs (and Kobalt handtools are unquestionably superior to what you'll get in most "my first apartment" tool sets). I also liked the tool bag which is very sturdy, gives you room to add more, and has a place for every tool. Unfortunately the marriage between the tools and the bag doesnt work that great. I have several other tool sets in a briefcase style plastic case which are much easier to acces...

The unfolding hard case tool set is better

I don't like the soft carrying case. It seems like the tools will just be in a pile in the bottom of the bag. The hard case that opens up and every tool has a place and easy to locate is far better.
