The Kidde PI2010 120V AC wire-in dual sensor smoke alarm with battery backup features both ionization and photoelectric sensors to offer the best protection against both fast flaming fires and slow smoldering fires
Ionization sensor - may detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms
Photoelectric sensor - may detect visible particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms
Hush feature - temporarily silences nuisance alarms; tamper-resistant - deters from tampering or theft
Battery backup (9-volt battery included) - provides continuous protection even during power outages
Interconnects with up to 24 Kidde devices on 1 wiring network of which 18 can be initiating, to provide an immediate warning throughout the home
Test/reset button - tests unit's electronic circuitry and horn
Red LED - flashes every 30-40 seconds to indicate that the smoke alarm is operating properly
