Better than crusty old insulation.
I like that its available, I tried to get R49 batts for my vaults. I bought R30 unfaced to add on top of the R38 for the highest R values possible in my tri level drafty inefficient home. I have to belly crawl up to the soffits and air seal to get the most out of doing this by myself. I learned that any little edge or gap between rafters, studs, siding, plumbing, electrical, fart fans, dry wall and chaseways needs to be air sealed for maximum comfort and savings.
