What Customers Are Saying
The insulation product is generally easy to use and install, with helpful features like pre-perforated batts for easy cutting and fitting. Customers appreciated the relatively low dust and itch compared to other brands. However, some noted quality control issues, with inconsistencies in the paper backing and occasional defects. While a few found the paper facing less durable, most customers were satisfied with the product's performance in improving temperature and sound control.

I insulated my garage which had studs that were an odd size (about 20 inches on center, but some varied more or less - my house was built in the early 1960s). The perforated sheets work really well to quickly tear sheets to fit. The only thing people should be aware of is that there is only 3 perforated sheets per bundle of 11. This was sufficient to do my job, but people should be aware of it as it may not work for others. I wish they would disclose these things in the description.
Easy to use
Very easy to use and to hang. Low dust and tears easy with 4 peices that have perforations to fit in the stud bays. Vapor covering is very thin and tears easy but still workable. Seems thicker and more dense than other R-13. Fits well and no real need to staple it to studs if cut correctly. And mostly wasn't as itchy after installation as other fiberglass.

I was originally going to purchase owens corning insulation, but after reading some reviews online I kept seeing everyone mention a smell that was emitted from that insulation and was amazed when I got to my local lowes and found out first hand what they were talking about. The owens corning brand smelled terrible... almost like gasoline, so I opted for the johns manville and I'm glad I did. It was easy to install, didn't smell and I installed it while wearing a tshirt and no gloves and didn't i...

Much better than the pink stuff
We are building a new home and wanted to insulate the exterior garage walls before they were drywalled by the builder. I had planned on using the Pink Panther brand but it smelled like burnt carmel. JM insulation was easy to work with for installation and doesn't smell. I purchased 15" x 8 foot bats. Note that each package has a a couple of bats that have virticle perforations which allowed me to quickly and easily tear a 6", 9", or 12" strip for narrow virtical gaps between 2 x 4s that are not ...

The best insulation for our job
We needed R13 insulation to keep our room warm in the winter and cool in the summer and this will do the job. Easy to install and easy to use. Cut the right length for what I needed.

First timer for hanging insulation
Although I have laid insulation in my attic, I have ever hung insulation before. Loved that some of the batts were already perforated for narrower spaces. Insulation was tight and easy to handle. Dust was at a minimum. Paper facing could be a little more durable--encountered some rips, but figured out how to avoid that. Bought the batts for a little more money and it was well worth the time and labor of measuring and cutting a rolled product.

Easy installation.
Some batts are pre scored for those places that aren't 16" on center. This makes it easy to get the right size batt without using a knife or scissors.
