“White” is almost a gray color. Terrible paint job
Pros: Doors feel heavy and solid. But they are definitely composit. Cons: Paint job wasn’t smooth. Looked rolled in some spots, and sprayed in others. The texture wasnt consistant throughout. Some doors had scratches in the paint, others had dinged corners. But the worst part is the color “white” isn’t actually white. It looks like gray primer. If I had wanted to paint my own doors i could have saved myself $40 a door and bought primed doors. Maybe “snowstorm” is closer to white? Very upset ...

Depends what you want these doors for!
I searched for slab doors that were not hollow core for a sliding "barn door" installation in a bonus room. I was being budget conscious so I chose these doors, and I'm sure this is a case of getting what you pay for. Upon receipt, they came out of their cardboard packing blemished. They are not a solid wood, so where packing adhesive or glue touched them, they would tear or peel. Further, they did not paint up smoothly. Love the look!
I was surprised that the door was not consistently smooth. I have not painted it yet, but was assured that it would paint to a smooth surface. It is perfect for a pocket door and with antique bronze hardware, the look is complete.

makes a great pocket door
I purchased this as it was the only door in stock that met my size requirements for a pocket door. I preferred a solid core door of different style but the amount of time needed to ship to store was outside my contractor's timeframe. It slides well and looks good - a little more modern than I wanted for an old farmhouse.
