JELD-WEN 36-in x 80-in Modern White Solid Core 2-panel Left Hand Molded Composite Single Prehung Interior Door

insufficient packaging for shipping

I ordered two solid core composite molded JELD-WEN doors. Both were scuffed and scraped during shipping from JELD-WEN to Lowe's for pickup. Since most stores don't carry these, you have to special order and my wait was ~2 weeks for delivery. When I went to pick them up, there were significant scuff marks. Since I was planning on painting anyway, I went ahead and took ownership because I didn't want to wait 2 more weeks for a replacement. However, when I got home I noticed some of the detail work...

Nice, cheap, but poor quality control

The doors look nice, and everything was correct size. The solid core is HEAVY! The problem I had was with the hinge. I bought two of these and both, the top hinge was not set in as far as the others, which caused the door to hang crooked and interfere with the frame on the far upper corner. I had to grind out the side of the door and frame to seat the hinge better, and that fixed the fit issue. Many of the hinge screws could have been installed better too. Another small issue I saw was they forg...

beautiful

I purchased one Modern White door before purchasing more because i wanted to see the quality. When it arrive , there were definetley scuff marks and dinged areas where i will need to use touch up paint. For the price i paid for it to be prepainted so i didnt have to do it, it kind of sucks. What kind of paint finish is it, satin, or matte/flat?

As advertised with some finish issues

Everything about it is as you’d expect. Check for blemishes. The 3 that I received had either damage from shipping or a blemish from the factory that you can see they portly tried to repair. I can make it work but not without labor. A little dissatisfied but it beats waiting for more to be shipped and possibly being as blemished.

Problematic

Outfitted my entire house with these prehung doors. Looked nice, but finish is very rough ad you cannot sand these doors because of the material they are made from. Sanding ruins the door and it takes a lot of paint because it soaks up the paint.

Good value

The doors are heavy and sturdy, need three hinges to hold. Easy to paint, other than some dirt weren’t too damaged. Lowe’s did mess up our order and gave us a smaller size door so measure before leaving store it accepting shipment.

A Very Good Product

Good construction and sturdy packaging. It was well worth the wait for the special order.

Decent door

I ordered 2 of these doors online and picked up in store. They had a few scuff marks on them but nothing that paint won't cover. Over all they seem like good quality doors.

Well Made Doors

Really happy with these doors. Glad we ordered the pre-painted doors.

Beautiful Doors at a Reasonable Price

These are very nice looking, substantial doors. Lowe's did a lousy job ensuring they arrived without damage.
