Better than Homedepot options

After carefully looking at both options at Lowes and Home Depot for auger bits I found these ones to be a better value and better quality. I noticed the ends of the ones at HD already had what looked like rust on them and seemed overpriced to me for chinese bits which I know just don't last. These ones at Lowes in contrast were at least made in Brazil and seem of better quality. I used this bit for going through 1ft+ log stumps I'm turning into lamps. To that end they work well for that purpose ...

Great Bit... Perfect Size

This was exactly what I needed. Nice and long -- almost a foot and a half, and performed well. Fit perfectly into my standard Makita 1/2" drill. It did exactly what I needed it to do. I took one star off due to the price. It's available for half this price but I was in a rush. So, either shop it or ask Lowes to price match.

Sharp and Fast

I bought this auger to drill through my dock pilings to secure my floating dock during the last hurricane. The auger cut right through the 12" diameter saturated pilings without getting pinched or overheating. I definitely recommend this item for your next job.

Drill it!

This wood boring auger bit (made by Ryobi) drilled its way through 7 inches of wood as if the wood was made of butter. I had previously tried a paddle bit but worked myself silly trying to drill holes through wood. This bit, although a little pricey, was the bomb. Highly recommend this type of bit (by Ryobi) if you need to drill through wood in a minimum of time

Man when this thing bites you better hold on. And make sure you drill can handle it. When it goes it goes!! We perfect for drilling holes in my destining wall for the rebar!!!

Best tool in my box

This bit cut through 10" of wood like butter. After you start the bit it simply pull its way through, no need to force the drill. Saved me a ton of time and energy. Love it

I own a couple sets and really appreciate they sell the single bits to replace when you finally destroy one.

5/8 large auger bit

Sharp, was able to drill several large holes on thick lumber. Cut its way through like butter

This bit is tough enough to drill 12 inches into some hardwood stumps.
