This product sucks.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.This product is supposed to be as long as 8 feet. My wife and I tried everything to expand it and only got it to 5 1/2 feet before it started to unravel exposing sharp, jagged edges. I finally cut off about a foot where the damage was. I did get it on the dryer, but the bend at the bottom of the dryer was so difficult to make that the dryer is about 1 foot from the wall. Then at the exhaust tube I put through the wall, the not-so-flexible pipe would not go over the end...

Inflexible, barely fit, then unraveled.

This hose is not meant to be the hose that runs from your dryer to the wall. It is incredibly difficult to expand, and isn't meant to bend around corners well like the picture shows. Too much bending or stretching (if you can manage to stretch it) will cause it to unravel. It's comprised of a strip of wired heavy-gauge aluminum that is coiled in one long loop to create the hose (think When Harry Met Sally... apple peel... that kind of coiling). VPoor Design, Poor Quality

This ais the most flimsy flexible exhaust duct I have ever come across. Most flexible ducts have a reinforcing coil of wire that reinforces the thin aluminum material that makes up the vent duct. This model does not. And the aluminum is so thin that it is difficult to cleanly extend the coiled duct without leaving tool and even finger marks. And if you have to feed the house through a sill, floor or wall, the material will easily tear

This duct is difficult to work with. I put a hole it tightening the clamp that attaches to the dyer. Very difficult to stretch to 8ft, took two of us pulling with all our might to get it to stretch. so definitely not a 1 person job. It took me almost 1 hr to install this hose. should have bee a quick and easy job but turned into a nightmare. Garbage!! Don’t buy this!

What this hose is is a 1 3/4” strip of thin aluminum that is carefully crimped to compress it so they can say its flexible. Then, what is now a 1”strip is spirally wrapped into a 4” “flexible” dryer vent hose. The problem is that where the edges of the strip meet when it is spirally wrapped the are not joined (barely crimped enough to hold). Imperial outdoor exhaust dryer kit

This product needs to be removed from all Lowe's stores immediately!! It is compacted to within 4 feet when purchased but it states it can be stretched out to 8 feet. While my son and I were trying to stretch it out, it totally came undone and razor sharp edges were going everywhere. I spoke with one of the managers at the store where I bought it and this is what she told me to do???? This product is a law suit looking for a place to happen. AWFUL PRODUCT

This kit is a nightmare and does not work right.First when you try to pull apart it comes apart at the seams so i had to tape with duct tape.2 WHEN TRYING TO PUT THE CLAMPS ON THE THING JUST kept bending in and had to use more tape.This is the hardest vent for dryer i ever had to put on.3 I bought it because they said it was the best and fire proof so i hope it works good or at least 5 years because i replace mine every 5 years.

Wish I would have read the reviews before wasting my money on this hose. First off its very difficult to bring up in length and will dent if not careful. Don't even think about using in a tight space as its very hard to move when fully extended. Installation Help

If this is not your regular job, I suggest you view a YouTube video or two before installing. I found two suggestions very helpful. Stretch the vent hose to its full length to start. Cut three small slits in the end of the tubing makes it much easier to fit the tubing over other connections. Without those slits, I was unable to make connections to the hose. Tug of War First Step

It was not easy to stretch to the stated 8’ length. It required 2 adults grunting and pulling on the ends to make it extend to 8’. Using 2 aluminum elbows , one on each end made it much easier to attach using the clamps supplied. One of the best features is that the inside is very smooth and unobstructed to the air being exhausted which will result in better drying times and much less lint buildup. Pain in the rear to install but works really well.
