GroundSmart® 12+ Year Rubber Mulch Nuggets are the perfect ground cover for both landscaping and playground applications. Easy to install and long-lasting! Our product’s color lasts 12+ years which means no annual re-mulching every year—apply it once and save up to 80% compared to yearly wood mulch replacement. Get long lasting landscape mulch creating beautiful gardens, year after year. Compared to hardwood mulch, GroundSmart® will outlast your cedar wood mulch or pine bark mulch by more than a decade! Additionally, rubber mulch is also the safest and softest ground cover for playgrounds. IPEMA certified for critical fall height protection (ASTM F1292-13) means our rubber mulch for playground is safer than outdoor wood mulch and soil. Made from 100% recycled rubber, our yard mulch does not attract carpenter ants or termites, making it a great garden mulch for plants, as it’s also mulch with weed control. Get over a decade’s worth of savings when you switch to GroundSmart® Rubber Nugget Mulch. Provided shipping dates are estimates. Please allow 1-3 additional business days for any disruptions.

What Customers Are Saying

The product has mixed reviews. Some customers were disappointed with the color not matching the advertised shades, and reported finding safety hazards like steel belts and fabric shreds in the mulch. However, many found the product durable, low-maintenance, and easy to install. Customers appreciated its ability to stay in place and noted it can be a good value, especially when purchased in bulk. The product may be a suitable alternative to traditional wood mulch if the color and safety concerns are addressed.

Durable safety feature for our play area

Would Recommend

After purchasing a new swing set/play play space for the children in our family, we considered options for safety features and landed on bulk rubber mulch from Lowes. It provided the coverage we needed and created an attractive space. Unlike traditional mulch, this is pest-resistant and durable!
