What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the product's effectiveness at reducing solar heat and glare, with many reporting cooler rooms, lower air conditioning costs, and better TV viewing. Most find results immediate and noticeable, especially in hot climates. However, installation proves polarizing—while some describe it as straightforward, many struggle with film peeling at edges, bubbles, and squeegee scratching. Reviewers emphasize thorough window cleaning, using the installation kit, and watching tutorials for success. Despite installation frustrations, most who complete the process express satisfaction with the final result, though some report adhesion issues or premature peeling.

2 stars may be higher than deserves. I installed this product several years ago and installation was problematic, but we got it done. This time adhesion was a major difficulty. Had to respray both window and film (both sides) 3 times. Even then had to respray the edges again and continue to work to get it to adhere to glass. Worked it several times to get bubbles out and to get edges to stay in place. Still has several small bubbles. Also the liquid tends to attract any dust, hair, etc. in...

Same issues as others. Curling top and bottem
This is not my first rodeo when it comes to window tint. I have tried other brands. Lowes had this in stock, so I decided to try it on some smaller double pane windows. 3 pieces later, EACH and every pieces curls at the top and bottom, and nothing will save it. More and more soapy water, heat, etc. I was ready to crazy glue the the edges, that's how upset I was. I will be returning this roll in the morning.

Peeling Edges
Installed today per directions using Gila install kit and 3 in 1 Gila film. Upper and lower edges are peeling away from the window. Tried everything including rewetting, hair dryer, etc. but will not stick. How do I get the edges to stick? It seems it is from when the roll was going in that direction? Tried asking the question on the website but keeps issuing an error message.

Works Well!
Need to be patient and purposeful when installing, but product works beautifully and blocks a great deal of UV through the windows which reduces temperature. This has been such a gift during these hot, early days of summer!

Junk - Don't Waste Your Money
Not DIY-friendly. Would not buy again or recommend. Don't waste your money. Find an alternative that is static cling versus adhesive.

Fights the sun
The tint from 20 years ago was done and replaced with this because I wanted to still see out. Its darker than the 55% from the same brand 20 years ago. I hate tinting, but the sun will cook us thru these single pane windows.

Good mirror window tint helps with solar heat
Corners peel off throughout the first day but just keep squeegee-ing them down and they’ll stick completely
