Love this downdraft unit. Only issue is the newer model could. It be vented with my GE gas cooktop so I had to pay extra for a venting specialist Love the sleek style and easy to clean vents

Basic and no frills.
This model was purchased to replace another ge downdraft vent. This model does not flush evenly with the counter top as it has a rubber piece that it rests on when not in use as opposed to metal in the previous model. It did not come with a control pad as the other one did but instead there is a button on the top that turns it on and a knob on the side that adjusts the van. Overall, it is not aesthetically pleasing as the other model. GE appears to have cut corners with this one.

Replacing existing built in indraft Cooktop was not easy!! GE Universal 30" Telescopic Downdraft System made its possible! Came with proper manuals, detailed instructions for cutouts, Fan outlet directions. Speed control dial makes it easy to manage the fan speed. Hidden when not in use FAN is very powerful, great looks. easy to operate and control speed
