Poor quality oven rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oven rack in the convection oven is flimsy and is sagging in the middle while using a small cast iron casserole filled with braised short ribs. My old GE convection oven never presented with this problem. I am afraid the oven rack will snap and break.

Don't buy it - high expectations, low performance.

I wanted to love this as I have the whole suite of slate appliances. But this product did not live up to my expectations. I have owned this for 4 years and the handle on the oven is peeling (and DANGEROUS as the peel can cut your hands) and to replace it you have to have a tech do it since you need to ensure the seals are all ok. GE Profile Microwave Vent Grille part will break

Just 3 years old and tried to change the top filter out. Immediately the vent grille cracked when I removed it. And I mean I wasnt applying pressure at all. Made to break. It cracked on both sides! This part should be a free replace. And this is a ge profile, was supposed to be top of the line when I purchased it.

Unit nonfunctional less than 3 years old.

Purchased in May 2022. Less than 3 years old. Seemed to take longer to warm things like soups and coffee. Surface light only worked intermittently. And now it no unit no longer works. No lights, no button response etc. Basically dead, and yes I checked the outlet and circuit breakers are on and outlet has power. I also tried in another outlet.

Love the Convection/Air Fry features

The Microwave itself is fantastic, the only issue I have which kept it from being a 5 star review is that the installation instructions did not mention anywhere that the small metal plates on the rear needed to be snipped off and removed when installing using through the wall rear ventilation. Luckily I am mechanically inclined and knew the fans could not move any air out the vent if they were left in place, so I knew to remove them after rotating the fan to the proper position.

Installation

It is impossible to find an install kit that works with this microwave.

Some faults And setbacks

The microwave is a great item. The only problem that I see on the airfrying side convection oven. It doesn't seem to make things golden brown. It does cook. Through meats , Rose, And chicken But But my counter top air fryer seems to do a lot better. They need to do a little work on their technology enricards to the convection oven. Outside of that I can't complain. A little bit pricey. For what it is. One other thing is cooking time on the convection oven takes twice as long to cook over an air...

It's been outstanding so far

We bought this in November 2020 to replace the old over-the-range GE microwave that had been in our house when I moved here in July 2001. The old one's longevity was a plus for considering a new GE product, so we can only hope the new one lasts as long. So far this new one has been outstanding. I wondered how often we'd use the convection bake feature because I've heard of people who buy microwaves with that sort of feature and then seldom use it. Entirely Adequate

This is a very adequate Microwave. Since it doesn't have the numeric key pad it is a bit hard to navigate initially. It is a 1.9cuft replacing my 1.6 so that is nice. additionally tit has the Convection Oven capability but I haven't used that function yet. The Stainless interior is also a bit confusing, it replaces one with a white interior. It is a discontinued Model but I expect this will be the last one I will buy and the discounted price was a win.

Good microwave, could be better

This microwave works just fine. There are a couple of things I would change. I wish the buttons were more tactile. Sometimes it doesn't register a press, but I don't want to press so hard that it damages the circuit board. The other thing is that you have to keep pressing the vent fan button to turn it off. It should have simply an on/off switch and then a separate button for the high/medium/low speed for the fan. I've only used the convection oven feature once, but it seems to work just fine.
