We have had the refrigerator only for less than a month. So far the refrigerator has been fantastic. We have a teenage son who left the freezer door open. I have the notification set up on my phone and was able to prevent some loss of freezer food.
Be careful
The refrigerator wae delivered monday 1-26 and the delivery men were great and did a great job removing the old fridg and installing the new one. They pluged it in and left. The unit never cooled down, over night the freezer only cooled to 61 degrees and remains there. We contacted GE and they sent a service company that tried to reset the unit which started running and did not cool ovrenight again. It is now almost a week later and GE has not said a new unit was being ordered. Lowes said it...

We gave up a few things we liked better on our old frig to gain a working ice maker and a bit more space with this new frig. The main negative is that the back lighting is not as bright as the led lights were in our old frig. The middle drawer is a bit too low (higher on our old frig). I do like the filtered water pitcher inside the door. It is a little deeper than our old frig but not quite as tall. I just wish it was brighter inside when you open the doors!
