I bought this dryer with the matching washing machine in November of 2024. A month after purchasing it I reached out to Lowe's and ultimately to GE for someone to check my dryer because I was having issues. Cracked Drum

Owned this dryer a little over 2 years and it started making a rhythmic thumping noise while drying. Looked inside and found the drum had a big crack in it on the back where it contacts the rollers. Looking up the parts to repair are almost half the cost of the dryer not including labor with no guarantee the same thing won't happen again. Into the landfill it went. Catastrophic Drum Failure Within Two Years

We were very happy with this dryer at first, but within two years of purchasing it, the internal components failed and destroyed the drum. It suddenly started making a loud clunking noise, which turned out to be the drum being torn apart from the inside. The damage was severe, including a gouge about 1/4 inches wide that extended nearly all the way around the drum. We had a repairman inspect it, and he said he had never seen anything like it. Lint on clothes as pulled out of dryer.

Lint is all over clothes when removed. Lint stays on top of lint trap and all between lint trap/filter making it difficult to avoid getting lint on clothes as I pull them out of dryer. It's a great nuisance. Dries good overall and looks great.

Failed in a couple of years

You'll love it for a little while, but if you haven't bought a GE dryer, DON'T! Check into how long it will/won't last. I wish I'd done some research, not just by reading honeymoon style reviews with the GE all fresh & new and working great. I liked the large capacity but this junk lasted just over two years. Excellent Dryer!

This Dryer is exactly what we were looking for when we upgraded from our recent set. We got the washer to go with it and this set is perfect! There are so many settings and and features that make this dryer so far the best one we have had yet. It can hold a king size bed set comfortably and the cycle times can be adjusted to your needs depending on what you are needing. So if you only need a little dry you can set to 10 minutes yourself or one of the featured settings.

Leaves Clothes Damp

I've had very good luck with other GE appliances, so I purchased this dryer from a local store. It broke down in less than a month. It heats up, but leaves the clothes damp no matter how many times you run them through, even on the maximum settings. A service tech came out, said he needed parts, and told me it would be at least a week before they could repair it. I'd expect better than that for a brand new product, and wouldn't recommend purchasing this one.

We LOVE our new Dryer

We bought a "stackable" washer/dryer set to give us more room in our (small) laundry area. We were quite pleased with our purchase and so far, we are not disappointed. There's still a bit more to learn in order to get max usage out of the unit, but so far...so good.

Rattles when drying

I've only had it 3 months and it started rattling. It sounds like the zipper of a jacket hitting the inside of the drum, but the noise is coming from outside the drum.

I hate this dryer

Dryer works well most of the time. I like the capacity as I have a large capacity washer. It's in my non-heated basement. My husband chose this dryer without my knowledge based on reviews he'd read. I wouldn't have chosen it. I dislike the side opening door, as when it's opened I almost always end up with clothes on the floor.
