What Customers Are Saying
This compact dryer offers efficient drying and can handle large loads, making it a suitable option for small spaces. However, some users reported issues with the dryer breaking down within a few years, often after the warranty expired. Concerns were raised about the dryer shutting off unexpectedly, long drying times, and leaving clothes wrinkled. The overall quality and long-term reliability of the product appear to be mixed.

I purchased this GE stackable washer and dryer with high hopes, given the brand’s reputation and the convenience of a space-saving design. While the appliances perform their essential functions — washing and drying clothes efficiently — I have been disappointed by an unexpected issue that raises concerns about long-term quality. Both the washer and the dryer have started making a noticeable squeaking noise during operation. Initially, I thought it might be a temporary issue or something that wo...

product is a lemon; GE service poor
I purchased a new GE washer (WCVH4800K2WW) and dryer (DCVH480EK0WW) on 2/20/2016. Both were delivered and installed about 10 days later (early March 2016). After about 1.5 months the dryer failed. After 1-2 minutes the dryer shuts off completely and cannot be restarted immediately. One has to wait for about 1-2minutes before the dryer can be restarted. If it restarts, it will run only for a few minutes before the process has to repeated. After four (4!) visits of a GE repair tech over a peri...

The dryer worked well
Unfortunately, this dryer was used as the partner to the "matching" washer and the washer was terrible, so both had to go. The dryer actually did a reasonably good job of drying the dripping wet clothes from the washer, but how that can meet Energy Star rating is a mystery. The one problem with the dryer itself was that it was bolted to the washer at the rear of the machine. Like many stacked units they are in tight quarters. If the attachment had been placed toward the front rather than bac...

Upgrade from side-by-side 24" Whirlpool W&D set
We have limited laundry space in our kitchen, vented dryer is preferred and side-by-side under counter necessary. Full-size stackable would have been too much appliance in a small kitchen. We upgraded from the 24" Whirlpool washer and dryer that quite frankly were just ok (dryer lasted 12 years but the washer was 2nd purchase in 12 years - 3 years on purchase #2). We were familiar with limitations of options and features for 24" models, i.e. few model/manufacturer choices, not as quiet as larg...

Terrible.
Initially I loved this dryer - I also got the matching washer. We have a small laundry room and this was perfect for what we needed! We purchased this in March - it is now June and our dryer has been broken for over a month. I put in a service request with GE because it's still under warranty and it's still not repaired. I initially called Lowe's to see who I should contact about a repair - never received an answer or response so I felt the most logical thing would be to reach out to GE. I reach...
Great balance of cost and features
I purchased my dryer 3+ months ago and I have not had a single complaint. I needed a small dryer to fit into a tiny closet space along with the washer BUT I wanted a vented dryer. I had no idea that was going to be a challenge. So in that regard, the GE dryer has worked perfectly. I like all of the settings and options. It handles all of the textile options along with sensor drying, timed drying. No, it does not have a lot of high-end techie features out there (no I cannot monitor it f...

Great dryer for the size
We have space limitations and have our laundry in a cabinet in the kitchen. This is one of only a few that would actually fit where we need, and has the controls on the top not at the bottom of the dryer. I'm so glad I chose this one instead of the cheaper option. we love the features and so far the sensor dry has worked perfectly. I do find I need to switch to More dry instead of the default Dry, but that's no problem. We love it has a light, and it is so quiet, which when you have it right in ...

This product will not dry a queen sheet or anything larger...It rolls it into a ball that stays wet. My dryer quit working and the heating element , part only was 400.

Lots of Options in a Smaller Footprint
I replaced an older dryer with this compact model. So far been very happy. This one has way more features and does a great job drying. Most other compact dryers are condensation (not vented) dryers so was looking for one that externally vented. This one fit the bill and was easy to set up. Since my washer doesn't match I wasn't sure if I could stack them (since no stacking platform will fit two different makers appliances) but did with no problem. I simply put some anti-vibration feet under the ...
