The Bordeaux Yaupon Holly shrub is a variation of the dwarf easy-care Yaupon Holly. Bordeaux Yaupon is characterized by tiny dark red new foliage growth, which will mature into a dark silvery green. This compact shrub matures to 2-4 feet tall by 3-5 feet wide which makes it a great shrub selection for foundation planting, mass plantings, and low hedges in an area that will receive full to partial sun. These tough shrubs are drought and heat tolerant, and can also handle damp soils better than other hollies. Yaupon Hollies should be spaced 3 feet apart for a continuous hedge or 6-7+ feet apart for space between plantings.
