Easy to replace my existing smoke detectors from the same manufacturer but because dimensions were slightly different, needed to replace bracket and pigtail connector. Couple of extra minutes per unit but not too difficult

Decent low cost First Alert replacements

I got these because a couple of my smoke/CO alarms started to chirp from non-battery related causes. (They were about 13 years old and at the end of expected lifespan.) The install was a bit more involved than I anticipated because the connector plugs were different from the previous ones, but there was no hassle splicing in the new ones.

direct replacement for First Alert units

Loved that it is a direct replacement for the units I have that were installed 11 years ago. Had to change out the mounting bracket but the holes lined up and the wiring plugs were the same.

Simple.

Instructions easy to understand and install.

False alerts galore

Out of the 6 units, 3 have given false alerts in the first 2 months. All of them in the middle of the night. Junk.

An easy upgrade

We were long overdue to replace our wired, battery backup smoke alarms and decided to upgrade to the hardwired, battery backup smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. After turning off the power supply on the circuit breaker that controls all of our detectors, the swap was relatively straightforward.
