Manzillo European Olive is an olive tree that you can grow in a container or, if you live in a suitable climate, plant directly in the ground. Considered an evergreen ornamental, it has small blossoms that appear in the axis of its 3 in. long leaves. This little tree also produces delicious, tender olives beginning as small, green, plum-shaped fruits that ripen to deep, rich black in early to mid fall. Manzillo European Olive is a self-pollinating tree. This is a tropical plant, so can be grown in a container in colder climates and treated as a houseplant.
