Premium Price, Poor Product

I purchased the entire Delta Pivotal set in 2022. It’s an expensive product line, so I expected much better durability. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the black finish started peeling after just a few months. Then in 2025, the hose began leaking everywhere. This is the second of our Delta hoses to start flaking and leaking and our house in only three years old. We need a replacement hose for the hand held shower fixture, but I am afraid to buy the same product. They show a "stretch" hose but I'm not sure about that. Be aware the paint will flake off and the hose will start leaking.

Finish peeling

I do not recommend this product. This came installed in our brand new house. Less that 3 years in, it is peeling on the hose. Thought Delta was a high quality brand. Guess not.

Finish failing after 6 months, AVOID!!!

We bought an entire bathroom of Delta faucets, and the shower handle hose started failing after 6 months. It flakes off in various places, not only in places of frequent bending. Worthless, avoid at all costs! See other similar reviews.

Do not buy matte black! Finish will flake off.

This hose has seen less than 2 years of use and the black paint finish is flaking off. Once it starts in one spot it gets progressively worse. Unless you expect to replace the hose ever 2 years do not buy. This was surprising considering I have soft water.

Finish failing

We installed a matte black shower hose to match the matte black Delta fixture 2 years ago. After 6 months the black finish started to peel and after each use there are more paint chips in the shower to clean up. We are regretting our matte black selections. I am a design engineer involved in major new construction and renovation projects. I will relay my personal experiences to my clients.

Great Quality, high price

This is one great quality shower hose ... very flexible and the metal construction makes it extremely flexible. Feels really good in the hand, highly recommended.

Works, but not as desired

When I saw this listed I thought “Great, Delta is making a stretchable version of this hose now,” thinking I could replace the one I’ve had for three years. More stretch would make it easier to wash the dogs and clean grout around the room. Alas, I discovered it’s the same hose I already own, meaning that while it does stretch, it requires so much muscle that it negates the potential benefits: try keeping a soapy and unhappy dog in place while yanking on this thing!
