There's about a 1" hole on the bottom
It looks like a solid spout from the online photos, however there is a pretty large hole on the bottom of the spout where it mounts to the wall. I know it's by design, but the instructions didn't state a reason, and that would have resulted in water leaking into the walls behind the tile.
