Dewalt Router Guide

Like most Dewalt products it's well made. This is an inexpensive and useful edge guide for those with a Dewalt router. For those that bought the trim model, the additional plunging base in required to use this edge guide.

Fence doesn't stay in place

I bought the edge guide for my 618 router. The edge guide DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE - the rods slide around in the router. There are also zero instructions that come with the product - I can only assume that Dewalt knows how terrible this product is and doesn't want people to find out. Just ruined a project because of this craptacular product. I've been upgrading from Ryobi tools, and have slowly been transitioning to Dewalt tools - this experience has 10000% ended that. Going with Bosch over Dewa...

Where are the instructions

Looks ok, no idea how to use it. 4 years after complaints of no instructions….guess what, still no instructions. Ridiculous!

Great add-on to your Dewalt Routers but....

I bought the DW6913 Router edge guide and attaching to the router is prertty straight forward but...getting it setup take a lot of testing without a basic fuction guide for say the fine adjustment knob. Come on DEWALT get a basic setup/use guide together that is specfic to your language...Meaning you buy your product in the US then include ONLY ENGLISH....If you live in Spain then only Spanish...no one want a setup guiade with 20 different languages into...I end up ripping out an burning all the...

Guide is full of rust

The condition of this guide was horrible. It is all full of rust and the screws are extremely hard to turn. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Does not work on a 616 router! On box it says it does!

Seriously guys, no instructions how to use or set?

It makes no sense to me that you would offer and push this edge guide without giving any instructions on how to set this up or use it to its potential. The construction looks pretty good, but your customers need to know how to use this piece of equipment! I should have gone with Bosch... several of the reviews mention this problem and yet still no action!

looks good but

I haven't used it yet. The fence comes with two set screws; I have both fixed and plunge bases. With only two screws I will be required to move the screws from one base to another (and the plunge bases requires three screws). Quality control wasn't thinking

Shoddy craftsmanship

Got it's predecessor, the DW6912. If this one is anything like that one, avoid or check it out immedidately. Got it figuring I would need it. By the time I had a case to use it, found out that one of the holes was mis-bored (rod rattles around in the hole) and it was out of warranty.
