One lil flaw

This shroud works like it's supposed to but for someone who's constantly on there hands and knees edging and grinding concrete floors the clip part that connects to the grinder is weakly tack welded so they snap easily other then that the shroud works fine might need to trim the hairs on it but that also depends on your vacuum.

I have 2 cordless DeWALT grinders. At first I had a little trouble getting this on. I read the instructions and it fits perfectly now. I disagree with the review that this helped burn up his grinder. I ground down a travertine shower. It’s pretty easy to tell if your overheating your tool. I used a 4” grinding wheel and 5”. Almost no dust. The top has a unique door so you can get close to the wall. That did allow dust out but still not bad. Was worth the cost and it worked great.

Must purchase the DWV9000 adaptor to use this.

This shroud works great, but you WILL need the Dewalt accessory adaptor to connect to your vacuum hose. (Not included). Also, it will only work with the 5" diamond cup wheel. This is for flat grinding tasks.

Great product!

Had a 260 sq ft area of mastic to remove after lifting my tile. After researching several products, I purchased this dust shroud in combination with a DWE402W grinder and a 4” Dewalt cup wheel. I also purchased a new Dewalt wet/dry vacum. I also attached a bucket between the grinder and the vacum to collect all the dust due to the job was in my house. Every product worked great and I had no dust. I was completely satisfied.

Worked wonderfully

I have a D28402 Dewalt Grinder. I used it with a diamond concrete grinding cup years ago to grind down mastic when I removed some tile. It generated a ton of dust, set off the smoke detectors. Dust Shroud Does Not Seem to Fit DWE402 Grinder

I have been trying to attach this Dewalt dust shroud to my Dewalt grinder DWE402 and it does not seem to fit as well as the regular guard that came with the grinder. Am I supposed to remove the spring-loaded guard release lever to make this work? If yes it would be helpful to say that somewhere.

It worked awesome for containing dust while I was grinding cement floor. It kept dust from going everywhere. Well worth the purchase.

This shroud worked amazingly well. I had an interior concrete floor that had high spots that were keeping me from installing a tile floor. I installed this unit onto a 4.5 in Dewalt grinder and hooked it up to my jet vac. The jet vac has a 2 1/4 inch hose, so I had to design a reducer to allow attachment.
