Would Recommend

Have had this planer for 3 yrs. And still going strong. Only negative comment I have is the blades tend to dull quickly vs mu old Delta 2 blade planer I sometimes still use. Thought about the helical head but at 1/2 the price of the planer it is a hard choice.

Bought heavy unit (92 lbs) not quite 3 years ago. Used it carefully to clean up wood. Generally it worked well. Replaced blades after 1 year. Used for light, occasional home use on weekends. Then a horrible shaking, clanking began when power was on. Carefully took it apart and the 2 screws holding the cutter roller left end support were loose. Tightened, but they kept loosening after 1 -2 cuts. They they flew off and the clanking was terrible. The screws were stripped but metal shards had fl...
